We went into town and we got a subway, then mum, dad, and I got a couple of items of clothing from Pennys (Primark). Then had a look around the town.

Mum and dad came at about 830 pm. I was really looking forward to seeing them. It was their first time to see my new pad! :) I couldn't wait for them to see it. They got and thought it was really nice and cosy. Dad thought it was like being on a ship upstairs as the stairs is a ladder, and upstairs have slanted walls. That evening, as it strated to get dark, we got loads of stuff out of the car from mum and dads house that I wanted that I owned, like rugs, lamps etc. It's like christmas everytime they come cos they always bring something else.

We went to Elmhurst on the way to the airport and walked around the little town then sat in Caribou coffee again playing more games until it was time to leave for the airport. We said goodbye to each other (It was sad). The next day at 8am I arrived in Dublin. Mike picked me up and we went for a Starbucks for about an hour, while we had left the lights on in the car!! So when we went to drive off to go home the battery had gone dead, (being saint Patrick's day, nothing was open) we couldn't get a new battery and we couldn't get any jump leads or anything so we tried to push it and start it that way. No luck. We then went to catch a bus into Dublin city centre to get a coach from there to Kilkenny and get another car and tow it down. When we got into the city, the parade was on so we had to wait to get through it. The cops had to stop the parade for a few seconds so he could let us and other people through that need to. We were just about to leave on the coach and then mike's mum rang to say his brother was coming up with jump-leads. so we jumped off the coach, got our money back and tried to get a bus from city centre to Blanchardstown (Dublin) but cos the parade was on, all the buses were taking different routes and going from different bus stops. So it took us about and hour and a half to get to Blanchardstown when it only took us 15 mins on the way. We couldn't find the right bus!! It was a very long day. Plus I only slept for 40 mins on the plane that night!! But it worked out to be a nice adventure. :)

We went to Target again to get a few thing that I wanted to get before going home! We went to Caribou and sat playing games and drinking a hot chocolate for HOURS! Spoke to Mum and Dad on the phone while we were there too. :)

Emily, Me and Rocky all went to Naperville. I bought a Game that I like cos me and Emily had played it. Then we took Rocky for a walk by the river. That was nice But Rocky kept eating goose poo!

Emily, Terry and I all went to church-that was a funny experience as is was sort of in a coffee shop. hard to explain! But that was nice. After church we went to Northwoods for a breakfast buffet, then went to a maple syrup thing where we saw maple water come out of the trees and tasted it right out of the tree. Then I bought some Maple sugar-If I add water to it, it would turn into maple syrup, I can also use it as normal sugar on other things too. On the way home we went to the candy factory to get lots of different sweets to bring home. Later on we started playing ticket to ride but the Terry had to go to bed as he had to get up early for work. I started to pack so i knew how much space I had in my suitcase for more stuff that I bought there.

We went skiing in Michigan on this day! It was so much fun! It was my first time skiing on real snow. I have only done dry slope skiing before when i was a lot younger. The first couple of times this day i took ages to get the hang of it, i couldn't stay up very well and kept falling over! I started off with the bunny slope, which has a rope to pull you up. I had a break for a while and got back on the horse :) After a while, I moved up on the bigger slope as I was getting better and better :) I was very very nervous. We all then went onto the chair lift up to the top of the hill. Emily went on her own chair and Terry and I went on one together. Terry was practically holding my hand as I was so scared! Emily told the man at the top to slow the lift down so I could manage to get off without falling! Ha! The first time I went down, I fell twice and went down on my bottom! The second time, I fell once and skied all the way down without falling, and zoomed past Emily! I was so happy! I really enjoyed it from there on :) Emily and Terry were great at the skiing. Terry went on one of the really big hills, and lost one of his skis! Somehow He managed to walk back and get it! On the way home we went to a Christian restaurant and shop and had something small to eat.

Today we went to Valparaiso, on the way we went to a dog shelter, all the dogs were really sad and sweet. We went to a cupcake shop that had really nice cakes in there-Lots of them. We sat there for ages talking! Terry came home in the evening from Minneapolis (He was there all week with work) Then we went to Texas Roadhouse where I had a huge Bacon and Cheese Burger! Yum!

Went down town to Chicago all day, bought a couple of jumpers and got some really tasty cheese and caramel popcorn! Yum! :) In the evening we played ticket to ride-It's a board game. I love that game.

I watched the Christmas story sequel, 'My summer story' in bed when I woke up. Then Emily an I did an exercise DVD of Jillian Michaels. Then Emily dropped me off by Borders book shop where I could walk to other shops to look around while Emily went to her acupuncture. Then we went home for lunch and watched the back-up plan. We were going to go to the mall but just went straight to Penera bread cafe to meet Emily's friend Sara for a couple of hours. After that I insisted on going to IHOP (International House Of Pancakes) for dinner! I really wanted to see what it was like. I was a bit disappointed with it but it was OK. In the evening we just watch TV or another movie.

We spent most of the Morning deciding what to do. Then looked at puppies in the garden center place. Then we went to Target which is a big shop full of loads of different types of things. Drinking a Starbucks caramel hot chocolate while walking around (They have one in the shop) Then went home for lunch, followed by taking rocky for a walk around the neighbourhood and run around the little park nearby. Afterwards we went to the library where I used the internet and we chose some films to watch. Then we stopped off at terry's mum, Lorraine's house. Lorraine took me, Emily and Terry's brother Troy out for dinner at a Japanese restaurant called house of Kobe where the chef cook on your table. That was very tasty, then what you don't finish you take home in a doggy bag for the next day :)

Mike drove me up to the airport. We went to the new terminal. I bought a puzzler book and we shared an Irish breakfast. Then I was off to Chicago. 8 hours later i got there and met Emily. In the car her dog, Rocky was waiting. First time I met him. He's lovely. On our way from Chicago airport to Emily and Terry's house in Indiana, we went to a supermarket called Trader Joe's and got loads of food for the week. Emily and I got home and I unpacked.

We left the hotel at about 10 and the slowly made our way back to the airport. when we got back into Dublin, the bus we wanted to get back to Kilkenny was goingto be a few hours. so we got another one that went near where we wanted to so then mike's mum and dad picked us up from that bus stop. we were sad to be back cos we had a lovely time.

The next day we then picked up the Rabbit, Pigs and hamster (Plopsey, Millie, Molly and Plum). It was so lovely to see them.

All day we got all our last minute things in the little town that we wanted to get! And we went to the beach for the last time but i didn't go into the sea cos my eczema was very stingy. and we went into the swimming pool again.

We went to town for half the day and to the beach and swimming pool for the rest of the day. we had to buy more suncream but it was very expensive to buy! While I was playing on my lilo float. It burst! It was very funny-It split down the middle and then popped! He-he! I went up to get another one but i didn't open the packet cos we were going home in a couple of days.

We went to Slide and Splash water park. Another hour bus ride. It was very exhausting running up and down those steps to the slides all day, but it was very fun sliding down them. :) we were there all day, but as we were very burnt, it was quite uncomfortable to start with.

Today we went to the swimming pool-which was quite cold actually because the weather was mostly hot, and also went to the beach. In the little town, we bought a lilo float and used it in the swimming pool and the sea and as a bed on the sand :) Just relaxed for the day but got very sun burnt.

Today, we went to Zoo-marine (It's like a zoo for water animals and tropical birds) We took a bus down to it-I think it took about an hour. That was great- we saw seal and seal-lion shows, bird shows, Dolphins shows (That was fantastic!!) and other shows too, and crocodiles and penguins and loads of other animals. There was also a few little rides to go on. That was a great day out! :-) Then we got back on the bus and we were very tired and slept on the bus. That evening we went out for another Italian pizza.

We went down to breakfast and had scrambled egg, ham and bread rolls. (all week, it got a bit boring towards the end of the week, but it was tasty) Then we went into the town center on the bus which was right outside the hotel, and explored the the lovely town. we were trying to look for a supermarket but there wasn't one anywhere. Mike and I hired a bike-car and rode it up and down the boat harbour. Afterwards we had a really tasty ice-cream. Later on we traveled back to the hotel and went in the swimming pool. that evening we went for a nice Italian pizza just in the little town up the street.

Mike and I have arrived in Faro, Algarve in Portugal in the early afternoon. Got a train to Portimao where we stayed for the week. The train journey took about 2 and a half hours. We got there, unpacked an walked up to the little strip of town just a bit up from the hotel to explore and also looked down to the beach which was really pretty. There was a table-tennis table and a snooker hall down in the basement of the hotel, so we played that for a while. Then we relaxed for the evening.

2009This week hasn't been great for me! First I had the flu, then on monday I walked to work and think I walked through thousands of horse flies or masquitos or something and got bitten - all day i was scratching like mad. That night I went to get after bite gel stuff and that didnt work. The next day still as scratchy as ever, then that night it got worse, Mike looked it up on the computer to see if there was anything I could do, cos the bites werent just one or 2 bites, there were welts all over my body! on every part of my body, so when mike looked on the internet, he said we had better go to the doctors (this was at 10 o clock at night) so I went to the care doc. Luckily I did go, I showed the doctor just one part of my body, my legs and he said it was Urticaria - some type of allergy. I was allergic to the bites. It was starting to get to my throat, and I could have suffocated from it if i didnt go. Anyway the doc gave me an anti-histimine (an injection, on my bottom!!) then it was gone! Wow!! I was so happy! Now today I have a bad stomach. So waiting to completely get better!

im finally better and back to work today! I was sick with the flu and in bed for 6 days! I went to work today and I was fine! I'm a bit tired and stil sounds like I have a cold but recovering. Worked flew by today, I did 1-6 this afternoon. Tidying my room and watching T.V. I'm also working for the next 3 days and then working for a couple of days throughout the week but it's fine! :)

I worked from 930-230 today. even though i thought i was suppose to be working from 12-5. i had a text this morning asking to to come in but it worked out better! i bought a new guinea-pig today as a friend for my guinea-pig! i thought my original guinea-pig was a boy but now im not too sure! but they get on great together!

I was working today!! It was really nice though. I thought the kids would be upset that their parents wouldn't be there, but it was nice. I enjoyed work today. It went really quickly. I am going swimming later on this evening! :D

I got home this morning from America at 735 am. I had 2 hours sleep on the plane, but i have not been that tired! Im very surprised! Im working tomorrow at 2 pm until 6. Not too bad! Me and Mike went to Blanchardstown on the way home and Liffey valley. (which are in Dublin - shopping centres) We went to Liffey Valley first and sat down and had some lunch. That was really nice, it was really nice to Mike! We had a great day. Then last night, Mike drove me to Clonmel (about 40 minutes away) to go food shopping in Tesco - that's our nearest Tesco!!

Today we went to Terry's brother and his wife's house. It was her graduation in the evening but we just went for lunch at a burger place stayed there for a while. then this evening we went for a meal - Terry took us out. Then i came home and packed! Now im ready to go home tomorrow!

Today Emily and I went to Starbucks to meet up with her friend, Jodie. That was nice to talk to her. Then we went to the puppy place again, our favourite puppy had gone :( but there a really new cute one - a golden retriever. We went home for dinner and sat out in the sun with our chicken sandwiches and then went to pick Terry up from work. On our way home we went to a park with a big pond and played loads of ball games and then walked around the pond. Emily found spring Onions. She picked loads of them up and ate some for tea. She said they were really hot! Hehe. Then we watched a film and had some wine! Terry fell asleep halfway through!

This morning, Emily and Terry's Paster came over to interview emily about her big changes moving over to America etc, to show at church. They do it with different people each week. Then when he went home, we drove about an 15 minutes to the mall to change a jumper thats was too small for Terry. Then we drove another 15 mins, to the CANDY FACTORY!! Its a smallish shop full of Candy and behind the wall is the actual factory where they make it. You can see them making it, there are little windows. It was so cool. I bought some candy, why wouldnt I when I'm there! Also instead of just bying the candy and thinking you might not like it, you get to try as much or as little as you want!! :) We were there for a couple of hours! Then this evening, we had friends over and Emily made us a really nice roast dinner!!! It was so tasty. That was fun with the family, we all watched Emily and Terry's videos of them Skydiving. The children wanted it on over and over and over again, until they went home, they are only 2 and 3. But it was really fun!

Today we went to Amish Acres. It was really interesting! we went to school like they do in Amish days. The most intersting part of the day wasnt actually the museum, We were in an Amish town. There were real Amish people living like that. Cycling their bikes, going in their buggies and horses. It was really intersting! We even went to an Amish restuarant where they were serving us and everything! Cool! Then later in the evening we got a mexican dinner from atake-away place as it was a mexican day and sat outside and ate it while drinking punch!

Today Emily and I went up the Hancock building. It was sooo cool!! You get to see for miles across and around Chicago. You even get to go outside along a corridor. its fenced off but its outside. It's on the 94th floor. The elevator took 40 seconds to get up to the that floor, 20 mph! It felt like we wereon a train, our ears kept popping! I bought a few souvenirs up there. Then we went to Navy Peir which (It's called Navy Peir because it used to belong to the navy) is quite far along a peir with an amusemen park on it and souvenir shops and a few other things on it. It was a very nice day :)

Yesterday Me, Emily and Terry went to Michigan (it's an hour ahead of Chicago). We went to a tulip festival. Its a festival with lots of tulips and dutch people. The place is called Holland. I came all this way to find out im going to Holland, Haha. We had a great time. There were loads of stalls with lots of different things in them and a parade of dutch people dancing around in Clogs! Then we walked around the town. Then we went to a clog factory!! Thousands of clogs there! I bought a keyring of clogs with something I asked a women to engrave for me. It's really nice. Also I got a magnet for Mike's Mum and Dad with their names on. It's really nice!

This morning we went to church and then came home and played more outside games. I got sunburnt on my shoulders!! We were outside all afternoon!! Ouch. Then Emily and Terry went to Bible study this evening and i'm tidying the house for them and doing a few other things.

Oh, today Emily and I went to the Science and Industry Museum. It was really cool. Loads of things to do. you could stay there for about 2 whole days. There was also, inside, an Omnimax. An Omnimax is a cinema but the screen is the whole of the ceiling and around. The seats are slightly so you can sea. You don't actually watch a film though, it's a 45 minute documentary about fish and Africa. But its so cool! You have to pay extra for that if you want to see it. Then this evening Emily's friends came over - Sarah, Neida and Jill. We played Cranium which is a game that you have to be in team. We had some wine, some snacks. It was really fun!

Wednesday 29th April - Day 6

Today we played a game first of all, then Emily's friends came round with her children (the one who we had dinner with before), Karen. Then whenthey went home, Me and Emily went to a cow farm to see the cows being milked. It was really fun and interesting. After the tour we got to watch a film about it in 3D and the chairs shaked that we sat in and say when the cow pooed on the screen it would spray water in our faces. It was really funny. Then we went to the Birthing Barn where the cow was giving birth but we were there for about and hour she stil wasnt making any progress so the women who looks after them went in to check if there was any problem. She was trying to help the poor cow out by pulling the calf out but it wouldnt budge. So she called the vet to see if they could both pull it out together. They said they had to close the barn down because they have to do a process that we were not allowed to see. Its horrible, the calf was actually stuck in the pelvis, so what they might have to have done is cut up the calf to do get him out, there for it was going to die, it was getting distressed already. :( Then we drove home and Emily, Terry and Myself went out to a buffet place. There is al sorts of different types of food there. That was a real American place to eat. They were all huge!!

Tuesday 28th April - Day 5

Today Me and Emily just took it easy, it was really nice, Emily first dropped me off at a place called Target because she wasnt feeling well so she could go back to bed. This place was huge and it was the small version. I bought a game and got photos developed and a few other bits and bobs. That was nice, i was in there for about an hour or more! Emily then came to pick me up and we rented a film - The boy in the striped pajamas, ive seen it before but emily hasnt. Its a brilliant film, I recomend it! Then we went to Starbucks! I love Starbucks, I had a hot chocolate, Emily had a coffee. In this Starbucks, they have board games there. So we stayed and played Boggle and Battleship, we were there for a couple of hours! It was fun! On the way home we stopped off in the garden centre to see the puppys!! They were so cute! You can just ask one of the staff if we can see a puppy and they would get them out to so we can play with them, There was this one gorgous puppy who liked playing with the ends of my jeans. Then we played with another one and it pooped and weed right next to me, Great(!) We came home and played a load more games! Terry came home and played one game with us, it took about an hour to play when usually it should only take about 20mins. It was great fun. The day was gone before we knew it, then we had dinner and watched the film that we rented.

Today Emily and I went to the mall. First we wanted to have a coffee in a cafe, well i had a hot chocolate. I bought loads of bits and bob from the mall. we were there for ages just walking around.Emily got a massage. That was nice for her. Anyway then Terry, Emily and I went to Emily's friend's house for dinner, with her husband and children too. That was lovely, she gave me some brownies to take home. yummy. Then we came home and I went straight to sleep.

Sunday 26th April - Day 3

Today was great fun! Well, we went to church, to Emily and Terry's church. We went out for brunch! I had fried egg, fries, sausages, toast and bread and in America the food is twice as big as everywhere else. YUM YUM! We went to the hardware store (well 2 of them) on the way home. When we got home we played loads of outside games for a few hours, that was fun! Then Emily and Terry went to Bible study and they dropped me off at Terry's mum, Lorraines house on the way. We took Heidi to the doggy park (Lorraine has a lovely Labpoodle) She is gorgeous! Heidi had loads of fun at the doggy park. It was nice for me too to see all the dogs there. Then Emily and Terry picked me up and on our way home, we stopped off at Wendy's Burger place. Yummy. Then we drove home and I went sraight to bed.

Today we drove down town to chicago - its about an hour away. We went to shopping!! I bought a couple of things. We strolled around for hours, we then bought some tickets for a show for the evening called Urinetown! Then we went to a Tai restaurant just around the corner from the theatre before it started. It was a lovely meal. Then watched the show at 730. It was actually very good but very silly! Then drove home and went to bed - i fell asleep in the car on the way home.

Today was nice, went to bible study with Emily this morning, we came home and sat outside on the deck for a while playing a game until it got too hot! It was about 72 degrees F. Then this evening Me, Emily, Terry's mum and Grampa went out to a sea food restaurant called the red lobster. But me, hating sea food was unfortunate but there was a few chicken dishes which was gorgeous! Now im home and ready for bed!

I'm here! Got here yesterday evening at 630 but here it was 1230 pm. I'm not Jet lagged yet. It's really nice- Terry's house is gorgeous! I woke up at 4 o clock this morning thinking it was 10 o clock British time. I'm sure it will all kick in later this afternoon.

Last night was really nice!! Michael and I went out for an Indian and then out for a drink, it was very spontanious, we dressed up too, it was lovely:

Then today was really nice too, we went to waterford city to look aroung the shops and had a milkshake, then on the way home we went to wexford to the windmill farm and walked about a mile on the beach to see the windmills. But every metre we took the windmills seemed to get further and further away. So when we got near enough, we got too tired and walked back. There were these big banks of sand that we slid down, that was great fun!!! Then home we went after a long tiring day:

Well, I'm getting ready to go to Chicago!! This time next week ill be there! I leave Thursday morning :-) Need to get loads of stuff done and need to buy a few bits and bobs. I'm going for 16 days. I've got the weekend off this weekend and then i'm working on Monday and Wednesday, and babysitting for someone else on Tuesday morning - bit of extra cash for holiday. Then i'm going, so I only have the weekend to do everything!

Friday I moved into the bigger double en-suite bedoom!! It's so nice and I've got everything perfect. So much nicer. Really nice bay window with a great view of houses, fields, trees and even a field of a herd of cows but they are not there this morning! Well, only one was- see if you can find it in the photo. The spare room now is empty, which is where sharon was sleeping, now she's in my room! It's weird!

Had loads to do today in town sorting out 2 gas bills, rent and other stuff. I took Bree out with me too. It was nice. Had to borrow my friends hoover for my room as ours doesnt work. I'm moving into the bigger en-suite room on friday as the other girl is moving out. Lots of packing to do. I have loads of junk! Can't wait though. Noel the capenter has been here most of the afternoon putting lock keys in the bedroom doors and bathroom. He had to take the whole door handles off. Also he had to fixed the banister as it fell off, ha ha! He's great!

I went to Newpark leisure club (where Michael works) this morning with Bree (the little girl I used to Aupair and her mum) It is really nice!!! Very posh!! It's huge now. The ladies changing room is twice as big as it was and very smart. It now has a relaxation room and an outdoor hot tub. It was really nice to relax in the jacuzzi. Michael's uniform is funny, but smart. It's black and he has to wear combat shorts and a tight top and funny little plimsoles, haha!

Went to wexford yesterdy. It was a really nice day. Just went to wexford town to wander through the shops - we thought it was much nicer than people say it is. Lovely little villiage, very pretty. I bought a new pair of earings and a 500 piece puzzle of a cat and rabbit sitting next to each other. It's really hard! Cos all the pieces are nearly the same colour! I'm struggling. Then babysat for Bree last night from 6.30- 9.30. That was nice! She's very well behaved for me :-)

Worked from 8.45 to 2.10 today. I just had Olaith while Aishling and Darragh were in nursery. I took Orlaith up to MacDonagh Junction (shopping centre). I met up with Mike and we had a Hot chocolate from Costa and watched Orlaith playing in the soft play area. Then Mike went home and I met up with my friends from church, Heather and Sandra. The four of us went to the Bagel factory and had a really nice chat :) Then went home at 1.

Michael went back to work yesterday from 9-5. It was just him and his manager, michael. They took most of the day taking up the carpet in the gym. Again today. He's doing a split shift today. The leisure club wont be open until tommorrow at 5 pm though. I'm off work today and i'm glad because i'm not very well today. :-( We went to cork on Tuesday (it's about 2 hours drive away). It was a really nice day out, went to city centre and did a bit of shopping, then we were gonna go to the model railway station but when we got there, there were no cars first of all and we got to the ticket office and no-one was there, so we rang the bell and waited and waited. No-one came. So decided to go to where they sold food where there was someone stuffing there face with food. She said to us that it was closed. Even though the door was open! There was just diggers and men working on the site! Hmm, that was very disappointing. So then we just drove home!

ST Patricks Day in Ireland!! I had a great time at home for the couple of days, went to Makro to get flying saucers, the sweets!! YUM:) We also went to Cheddar the cheese villiage on Saturday for the day with mum and dad, then they droe me to the airport which is half an hours drive away. It was so nice. Lots of lovely little shops! When I was in Lidl in Bridgend, I bought my dad a packet of liqueir chocolates, and they asked me for ID. First thing, I had to give ID for chocolates and second thing, I had to be over 16. So they thought I was under 16!! I know I look young, but not that young, I said to her that I was 20!! While I was home I also got to see Tom and Emily. I was so pleased!! :-D They are so big now!

WOW! I haven't updated this for a year!! Iv'e been living in a house with 3 other people for nearly a year now, and i'm gonna have to either move out or re-sign the contract for the house. I was gonna move out to a single room but its too small. I have alot of stuff (Junk mostly). I might mover into the double en-suite in this house cos i think the other girls are moving out. Well, that house that I went for has gone, somone else took it. But I found another house that I viewed last night. Hi, I have forgotton about my blog for months. I may start writing in it again.
What I have been up to....
I finished my job with that family working as an au pair in February. Since then, I have found a new job working as a childcare worker in a private full day creche. I have been there a monthe already, and i love it! I am also looking for a place which has been very difficult as still dont really know my way round here yet. I've been in ireland for 8 months altogether, time has surely flow.
I'm still with Michael after 6 months and everything is going great! I have found a house to rent which sounds ideal, i'm going to view it tonight at 7.30. I have been staying with the youth worker, Heather, from church while i've been looking. I hope the place tonight is great, and hopefully move into that place very soon as they want someone immediately which is great.

Sorry it's been so long since I last wrote. I have had a couple of complaints(!)
I have been in Ireland for nearly 4 months now. Can't believe how quick it's gone! Alot has kind of happened since then.

The biggest news, for me anyway, is that for nearly 2 months now I have had a boyfriend. I met him in Kilkenny (my home town, Ireland) I met him when I used to go swimming in my local leasure club every night. He works there as a gym instructure and receptionist. We always used to say hi everytime we saw each other before we really knew one another. I've been home in Bridgend since Monday and going back on Monday. I can't wait to see Michael.

My job there is also great, I love being there! No real thoughts of coming home anyway....

Sat: I had Bree all day while Charlie, Claire, Oscar and Romy went to a party which is about an hour and a half away.
It was nice, I took her into town again - just us two.
Didn't go swimming tonight but I will tomorrow night!

Sun: Tried out a new church this morning (Kilkenny presbyterian church).It was ok. I met one really nice girl, i actually think she's the YP worker. I'm meeting up with her one day this week for a coffee, which should be nice!

Today: Took Oscar and Romy to the duck pond on the estate round the corner. They had a bit of a picnic and we fed the ducks, it reminds me, Liz, when I used to take Josh and Luke to porthcawl duck pond.... :( This afternoon, I looked after Romy (but asleep) and Bree while Oscar had his speech home tutor here while Claire was out shopping and in town doing erunds. I'm here!!
I got here last Thursday, well, Friday morning, 3.00am. So i've been here nearly a week already! Can't believe it! The family is really really nice and friendly!
Friday, first day of looking after all 3 kids!! really hard as the older 2 really don't like strangers. Friday night, Claire's (the mother) brother popped round for the afternoon but turned into the night - he brought his 2 children, Lorraine (11), Abigail (6). They were really sweet girls.
Saturday, they stayed until 1ish. I had the 3 kids again.
Sunday, went to park (woods, where it has Kilkenny castle) with claire, Oscar and Romy, baby Bree stayed with Charlie (father). Monday, Can't remember what i did this day.
Tuesday, in morning took Romy and Bree to town - long walk, finally got there and really nice town. went to cafe with them, gave Bree her bottle and got Romy a cake.
Wednesday! - Today, this afternoon, went swimming with Claire, Oscar and Romy while Granny looked after Bree. We had a really good time. The pool is nice! I'ts in a hotel and it has everything! It has a Pool (Big and small), Sauna, Juccuzi, Gym, and loadsa other different classes!!! I am a member so I can go in to everything for free! COOL!

3 days to go until I go to Ireland.....I am getting very nervous now. I don't even know when I'm coming back. It could be as little as 3 months or as long as a year. I'm flying from Bristol to Dublin, my flight is at 22.10pm, I wont get to Dublin until 23.05. Then I will meet the father at the airport as he works in London, Monday - Friday every week and he flys in every Thursday night so I will be going home (Kilkenny) with him. It takes about 2 hours to get there so I wont be getting there until 1ish in the morning. I hope everything goes well!!
I have been looking after the twins from Thursday till yesterday so I could get to say a proper goodbye to them and spend the time with them that I had. It would have been really good if Emily was good for me (!)

Today there was no point going into college. Didn't do anything all day appart from going to tutorial which was good for 10mins at 11.50, and art and craft which we weren't doing at 2.00. In tutorial I had that time as an appointment and the teacher and placement officer said I passed all of my 3 placements and they knew I was going to Ireland and knew I went to Germany last year and want me to go in next year to college to talk to the new students about my Au pair experience so the students think about what they want to do when they leave college, which is strange for me. I'm nervous too! They also want me to send them a post card when I'm in Ireland so they know how I am getting on, which I will do after I have been there for a while. In Art and Craft all we did was sort our assignment out and put them into a folder thingy and went home at 2.30!! So we waited around all day for not even an hour worth of lessons! So I did Internet stuff in the LRC (learning resource center) all day. :( BORING! I saw John-Mark there this morning in the LRC - he was doing an exam, I was a bit confuzzled! Why JM? Why there? Let me know! Dad came home today!!!! He's doing really well.

Today we missed church to go and see dad again! He is so much better again! He is waking to the toilet by himself and back again, which is really good and he actually felt like eating, he didn't before! He ate alot too! In the time when we couldn't visit, me, mum and mark went to he hospital park down the road and me and mark sunbathed and I got burnt!! Mum sat in the shade. Then mark went home but on the way he went to the beach I think he said. Phil came up in the 2nd visiting time and stayed for about half an hour and I went home with him about 5ish because I wanted to come home earlier than mum which was about 8ish. Phil invited me to stay for tea at his house, we had a really nice salad. Yum Yum!!

Today I have worked and then Mark picked me up and we came home, had lunch, and then went to see dad around 3ish. He was very well and happy and chatty. He is getting alot better! He didn't feel that bad either! (pain wise). Came home and then I babysat and mark came round and we wiped everything on my laptop to make it a lot faster, it's like it's brand new! It's so cool! Going to see dad today.
I just found out that dad had to have not a triple by pass but a quintuple by pass!! I couldn't believe it! We are just going to see him now. He is in alot of pain especially, mainly his leg. He was very chatty in the morning but very tired in the afternoon as they got him up to walk a bit. They made him sit up-right in the chair instead of lying in the bed. Dad moved into award from ICU (Intensive Care Unit).

Today had a nice lie-in no college on thursdays and fridays! :) mum went to the hospital to see dad this morning and is still there! She told me he is just starting to come around. He is in a bit of pain at the moment in the chest and leg (as they took an arterie (not sure how to spell that) out of a leg) - he's on pain killers. I'm going to see dad tommorow morning all day! DAD'S OPERATION.......
It all went well. Really glad it finally happen after months and months of waiting and then going in and getting cancelled and then waiting again etc. He had it from 12 till about 6 this afternoon. Mum was there all day and I was waiting to hear from her at college. He's still unconcious at the moment and got tubes down his throat to do his breathing for him. Mum said he looks the best out of all the other men that have had it done because he is the youngest. He won't become concious until about tomorrow night. I wont be to see him 'til Friday. I miss him - it's lonely here without him :(
My teacher was nicer to me today and yesterday because she knew about dad. She was friendlier to me. She kinda know mum and dad.

SORRY I haven't blogged in ages! I just can't be bothered and nothing interesting happening in my life. As it's coming to an end of our college year, I need to be up to date with every piece of work before we finish or we have to stay on until we have finished. My I.T work was going to specially modified by someone at the college and I had hardly started it as I find it hard in class to do. My teacher needed to help me do it asap because the due date was Thursday and I'm only in 'til Wednesday and don't have time on that day. She asked me to come to the lesson as normal and told everyone else there wasn't a lesson for them just so she could help me do my work. They were joking and said I was the favorite(!) :) We first had 1 lesson (Communications), then I.T, then Tutorial and the teacher didn't turn up! Then Lunch, then I went to I.T for 3 hours instead of going to Maths and Art & Craft. So I was quite happy - I don't like Art & Craft! I would rather do I.T. It was also one-to-one which I find really easy to get on with. I can't really work when there are loads of mates talking! It's really difficult! Anyway I finished it all!!! I was so happy!!! Dad was suppose to have his operation finally last week on Friday but it got cancelled, first because he had a cold and then that didn't matter but was delayed and then due to shortage of beds - he was all kitted and drugged up too. He had to come home. He went again to the hospital at Morriston in Swansea. His operation is tomorrow 8am. Please think of him!

Sorry I haven't blogged in ages! Just got nothing to say!
Anyway back to writing...
On the weekend, a girl Emily Ringrose aged 24 actually used to be 1 of my brother's girlfriends back in school when he was 15/16. I haven't seen her for nearly 8 years! She now has 2 children, came up. She arrived about 7.30 on Friday evening. It was really strange to see her and a funny situation (not many people get back in contact with their sibling's girlfriends/boyfriends). It was a really good weekend. Jack, 3 and Sarah, 15 months. It was really annoying that it rained all weekend! Sunday was the best day, Emily was really high on red bull and couldn't stop giggling! That's how I remember her from the old days. We went to the pines on Saturday (for those who don't know what that is, its a designer outlet place) and had lunch there, slowly. Then we walked around for a bit and back round the other way and had a photo booth photo done but too small to put on here. Went back home and Emily had a sleep while Jack was napping (he fell asleep in the car) I had Sarah downstairs with me watching T.V. she was really good for me! Emily Green got picked up by Elaine to the train station as she is going to S.France for 7 weeks as a nanny. Sunday we went to church and I was on Creche duty, I had Jack, Sarah and Nathan. Nathan was a bit Jealous as he is the only 1 who is usually there. We came home, Sarah had a sleep and when she woke up we went to the pub for lunch down the road. That was really good and we had loadsa fun and laughs- we had loads of photos done but haven't got those developed yet (its on Emily's old fashioned camera! he he)

Today went to college as usual after easter hols. It's nice being back! (I can't believe I said that) But I think I did just need a break. I'm working harder because I could concentrate better and friends are nicer because they are more relaxed without being stressed about college work. Had a hair trim today kinda, had layers at the back but you can't really notice it and then I dyed it again!! Browny/Brunettey colour! Nice though! I am now listening to Lazy Town on my mobile (bought a new mobile in easter hols). Josh and Luke got me into the song :) Didn't really watch it before or listen to it. I start my new placement tomorrow, I had to phone to introduce myself. I phoned but I have been there a few times so all I said was hi and see you tomorrow basically. They already know me. ANYWAY... I took Tom and Emily to the park today and spoke to Viki for a while as the park is pratically touching her house. We had fun! When I took the kids back, I helped Emily with her homework, I had to read out words and she had to write them down. Apparently she keeps saying she can't do it at home then when she is in school, the teacher said she is really good at it. Haha, I just don't think she wants to do it somehow!

Yesterday, I went to Cardiff with the twins (5) and Tom G (big Tom, 16) from church. It was amazing! It was so good. We went on the train. The weather was really hot and sunny! When we got there Tom phoned a friend, Lewis (22), who is also from church. We walked round the shops for a while. After that, we all went to a massive walk around park (huge grounds). We looked for a spot and sat and ate our packed lunch. After our lunch we all played football. It was really good! I was better than I remembered! :) We had an ice-cream/lolly too. Lewis bought them all. which was nice of him! Then we started heading back slowly and came home. We were there for atleast 3 hours. I got burnt from the sun! All on my shoulders, around my neck and on my hands. I havn't had such a good time in a long time!
Today I went to work this morning, cleaning my animals out soon and Me, Mum, Dad and Emily are going to see Mr Bean's holiday tonight!

This morning, my mum had a visiter, Andrea (she's from church). She has a 5 year old and a 2 year old (Rhian and Nathan). They are a bit of a handful, especially Nathan! I offered to take them to the park to take them away from the house 'cause they were bored. They were so good for me, love 'em! They had a good time and they had 1 of my special stickers! It says on it, "Auntie Laura's Good Child" It has a smiley face on it too. Then they wen home and Rhian gave me a picture she had coloured in that she found in the car. It is such a nice day today! :)

Again blogging... I didn't buy a rabbit. I bought a hamster instead - I do not know why! I have no money, but I called him Oscar (Ozzy for short), so I have 2 hamsters called Oliver and Oscar (Ollie and Ozzy). I'm also looking after someone's hamster and rabbit so I have 3 hamsters in my room :) His name is Toffee. He's cute but he's ill and he sounds like a guinea-pig. Anyway enough about my animals. I had to ask a couple of people for references for a job I want in Ireland. So I asked Liz (Josh, Luke and Hannah's mum) and Martin (Tom and Emily's dad). I would ask Rory's mum but there is a reason why I am not going to. Not very appropriate to say. I'm so worried 'cause I have never had 1 before and I can't even see it! :(

Yesterday I had a good day. I went to church without mum and dad 'cause they were away. Joe Governor from the states was preaching, which was good. I was home alone so Mary and Roger (My driving instructor) invited me round there house for lunch with also their daughter and partner and their grand-daughter and Roger's mother. It was goood and really nice of them to invite me. Then I came home about 5, and about 6, I had an unexpected visiter, Lee. I havn't seen him for about 2 years. I went to school with him. It was so strange that he was here. He just turned up on my door step. Then I saw Tom and Lewis from church walking down the road going to town and I ran outside to say hi for about 5 mins. That was really nice. Then they knocked on the door on their way home an hour later. It was so nice. I might see Lee again this week, maybe on wednesday. I am going to Bridgend station about 2 to pick Emily (my sister) up. She has been in London, Nannying for the past week. I want to pop into pets at home on the way - I want a friend for speckles (my guinea-pig), maybe a rabbit. Today I am bored. Might do some work. I can't get hold of any of my friends.

Picked Tom and Emily up from school and played with them for a couple of hours and then I took them back home and me, my dad and my mum had a take-away. He had fun playing on my computer on paint, I couldn't get him off it! So I just watched T.V most of the time and then he helped me do something on the computer. It was good. Went to placement as normal. Got there and there was a lost supply teacher in the room where I work. She didn't know where she was suppose be, so I helped her out. She took the register and then she and all the children went to assembly to sing. I was doing a sticking job in the classroom and I heard the children all coming back. A girl in my class had actually fainted in the hall. Apparently it sounded like a tree of coconuts falling to a hard ground. She fell flat on her face and smacked her head on the hall floor. Then an Ambulance came and took her to hospital because the smack was so hard. Sh has to stay in over night but she's fine (the hospital phoned the school to let the teachers know). I was very concerned because she said to me she didn't feel well as she was lining up to go in to assembly, but the children are always saying that to me.

After church, Mum, Dad, Emily Mark and Myself went to Bristol for the rest of the day! It was really good, first we stopped by a park we used to go to when we lived there and had a picnic in the car and then walked round the park (it was a park when Emily and dad where on a see-saw and my dad bumped it down and Emily literally bounced up, still holding onto the handles and did a hand stand type thing in the air! Haha! My dad was in histerics! I wish I was there and old enough to remeber it!) Emily and Mark (and mum and dad) were reminiscing as we went back to our old house where I was born. They were all talking about how much fun and what they got up to and stuff and I felt alone because I wouldn't have remebered so I couldn't join in ;-( We went for a walk around the area and saw Emily and Mark's old Primary school just round the corner, it was weird 'cause I had never seen the school before! Then we went on the supension bridge in Bristol and back again (50p each way). Then off to the Harvester for mothers while Mark was here and it was a really nice meal!! Mmmm... Mark went straight from there back home! He's still on his way now. Hope you had a good journey mark! (when you read this).

Mark came up last night! He picked me up from work after he woke up at 1.30 with my dad. We all went to cwmbran (it's where you can have BBQ's there and a long walk and stuff.) We went there with the church a couple of years ago when the American's where here. We actually had a really good time!

I took my twins to school today for the first time, went to placement (at their school), picked them up from school and I had them until 12.30 at night because the parents (Martin and Claire) were in Birmingham for the day so I had them and that was fine until later on about 5ish tom was talking to his dad on the phone and i went to go and get Emily to speak to him. She said to me, "Auntie Laura, I put something in my ear!" My mouth dropped my heart was pounding and I was speechless. I was like, what?! She had in fact put a bead the size of a pea in her ear. I could see it but I didn't want to reach it 'cause it might have gone in further! I ran to where the phone was and said, "Tom give me the phone now!!" I told Martin and he asked Claire and she said shake her upside down (she used to be a nurse), so I did that and it didn't budge. I then phoned Emily (my sister) and asked her to come round-she wanted to use tweezers but it was too deep. I phoned the GP and they said I'm gonna have to go to Casualty! So I waited for my dad to come home from work to take me to the hospital. I got the car seats ready and got them some food to eat on the way, got them both some toys to take (I thought I'd be there for hours- I was only there for 1 hour all together!). The doctor just came in and took it out quite easily with a pair of tongs! I couldn't believe how quick it was done. Then we went home and put them to bed. Later on tom asked for a glass of water so he came downstairs and he was sitting on my lap and he hiccuped and then he was sick all over me!!! My friend was there so I ran home quickly to get a pair of clean clothes!

I babysat for Jim and Anna last night. Jemimah was up longer than usual, she, I think is getting used to me now. She's so cute, she drew a picture of me in the park holding a kite. It was really good. Libby was there too and she was wearing her school uniform, she looked so grown up! I have never seen her in her new secondary school uniform before. I can't get over how much she's grown, she's nearly 12! I knew her when she was about 7! I cant believe Jemsy either. She's grown allot- I remember when she was starting to walk! I went to college as normal this morning (half day), and my mate Rachel usually comes round but she didn't today because she had the reality baby, that is going around college (for those who know what one is, for those who don't then tough. :)), so me and Emily (my sister) went to the pines today (outlet stores) in the nice hot sun! We went into a shop that was literally giving everything away. Every piece of clothing (there wasn't really much left) was all £1!! So, i got a pair of trousers for a pound, I couldn't believe it! It was a really good pair as well. At the moment I'm watching a Pork slaughter! It's horrible! I watched a cow on Monday, a Lamb yesterday and Pork now. It's really graphic...

Saturday 3rd March

Work today- very busy. I don't know how many times I ran up those stairs to get shoes. Some customer said to me, i've probably lost half a stone running up and down them. I was so shattered after. I had a 3 hour nap when I got home. Some old friends of my parent's from Bristol came for the day- Thery're cool! I babysat tonight which was good and one of my brother's girlfriend, Emily (from when he was in school) phoned me. We got on so well! I havn't spoken to her for 7 years. We were on the phone for 3 and a half hours until 2 in the morning. It was so nice to talk to her. She actually understands me. Thanks Em! She also now has two kids, Jack and Sarah. Jack (3.5) and Sarah (11 m).

Friday 2nd March

Went to the Millenium Stadium this morning with the school! It was amazing! I had a tour of it, inside, outside, around underneath, it was so cool! I went into the lads changing room (I saw Micheal Owen's changing area and coat hanger) and into the showers, baths and toilet area. It was awsome! It has something like 27 shops/bars inside! It was really good! I had my job training at 4 till 5 in shoefayre- I did really well! It's a bit confusing dealing with all the shoe numbers and stuff. I start tomorrow at 9 in the morning- Early rising again!

Got my certitficate for my food hygiene exam today! My best mate Rachel came over from college this afternoon as we have half days on wednesdays. Then I had a driving lesson at 5.45 this evening, I did really well today!! I'm so pleased with myself. The driving instructor said that I was 1 of his best students to do monoevers, I just get on and do it, most people take 6 or 7 seven lessons to do it! I can't believe how I only do it once! He keeps saying how good I am.

Tuesday 27th February

I had my report from college today. I'm really pleased with it- I had all A's accept 3 which were B's. I'm doing really well but I am finding my assignments hard! I also found out that I passed my second Food Hygiene examination!! I get my certificate tomorrow! Not many of us actually passed which made me happy because it made me think I can do when I think about it.
